Farming accident leaves man seriously injured

The Toowoomba RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man, whose right hand was severely injured, when it became stuck in a grain mixer, earlier today. (Sun 10th May)

He was initially treated by paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS), at a private property in the Western Downs region, before being taken by road to the local hospital.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue aeromedical crew met the QAS team at the hospital, where they stabilised the man, aged in his thirties, for his flight to hospital.

He was flown in a serious condition to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
