A man has been airlifted to hospital, after he was injured when the tractor he was driving rolled over, pinning him underneath.

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to a private property, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, around 1 o’clock this afternoon.

The aeromedical crew worked alongside paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to stabilise the man, aged in his fifties.

He suffered serious leg injuries and was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
