Flight doctor passes on life-saving first aid tips to school kids

There could be some flight doctors in the making after an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor stopped by Cranbrook State School to meet the Year Five students, today.

Dr Emma Wawn passed on some useful tips about what to do in an emergency; including information about calling triple-zero and how to perform first aid while medical help is on its way. 

The enthralled children also had plenty of pressing questions for her; about what they should do if they find themselves in an array of medical emergencies. 

She also gave an insight into her exciting job, saving lives in the air. 

Dr Wawn is based in Townsville, working across the region’s aeromedical services, including the Queensland Government’s QGAir and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
