Seriously injured truck driver airlifted after rollover

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) rescue helicopter has airlifted a driver who was seriously injured when his truck rolled over, south of Millmerran.

The rescue helicopter was called into action around 12:30 this afternoon.

Once on scene, a LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic assisted another QAS paramedic in treating and stabilising the patient.

The driver had injuries to several parts of his body, including his chest, face and arms.

The man, aged in his 50s, was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

He was the only person in the truck at the time of the rollover.
