RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts infant burned by tea

Toowoomba’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a little girl to Brisbane, after she was reportedly burned by hot tea this morning.

The rescue chopper was called to a private property, near Texas, just before 10:45am.

It’s believed the infant accidentally poured the hot tea on herself.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were treating the child for burns to her face and upper body, when the aeromedical team arrived.

She was flown to Queensland Children’s Hospital, in a stable condition, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic.

The child’s mother also travelled in the chopper.
