The aeromedical team was called to the scene, south west of Roma, just after 8pm (Saturday 18 January).
It’s believed the high school-aged boy had been riding a motorbike, on a private property, when he lost control and crashed.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were already treating the patient for multiple injuries, when the rescue chopper arrived.
The teenager was airlifted to Roma Airport, in a serious condition, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Flight Paramedic.
He was then transferred to a Royal Flying Doctor Service aircraft and flown to Brisbane, for further treatment.
