Toddler airlifted after suffering burns from grass fire

A young girl is recovering at the Queensland Children’s Hospital after she was burnt by a grass fire, at a private property, earlier today.

The Toowoomba-based Surat Gas Aeromedical Service helicopter was sent to the scene, in the Toowoomba region, shortly after 11 o’clock this morning.

The aeromedical crew worked alongside paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to stabilise the girl before flying her to hospital.

She suffered burns to her arms and legs and was transported in a stable condition.
