Motorcycle accident leaves man seriously injured

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter has airlifted a motorcyclist after he was seriously injured in an accident, southwest of Toowoomba.

The rescue chopper departed its base just after 12:15pm (Saturday 30th May), and met with a Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) team at an airfield near the accident scene.

The rider, aged in his forties, suffered multiple injuries.

The aeromedical team stabilised him, before he was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.
