RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts woman after single vehicle rollover

A woman is recovering in hospital after she was injured in a car crash, earlier today.

It’s believed the patient had been driving her car, when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll off the road and into a nearby paddock.

The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew was sent to the scene, north-west of Gympie, around 10:30am.(9th May).

The aeromedical team worked alongside paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service to stabilise the woman.

The patient, aged in her twenties, suffered a suspected spinal injury and was transported in a stable condition to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
