The Bundaberg RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man to hospital, after he was struck by a tree branch which smashed through his windscreen, earlier today.
It’s believed he was driving, towing a relocatable building, when it became caught on a tree.
A branch then broke away, swinging down and into the car windscreen, striking him in the head.
The aeromedical team was sent to the scene, west of Bundaberg, shortly after 4 o’clock this afternoon.
They worked alongside paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to stabilise him for his flight to hospital.
The man, aged in his forties, had suffered multiple injuries and was transported in a serious condition to Bundaberg Hospital.
