Motorcyclist airlifted after Fraser Island crash

An RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter, has airlifted an injured man to hospital, after a motorcycle crash on Fraser Island today. (Sat 27th)

The Brisbane-based rescue chopper was tasked to the island around 2pm this afternoon.

The patient was treated at the accident scene by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) officers, then transported to the helicopter, which landed at Orchid Beach.

The man, aged in his forties, suffered limb injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
