Injured cattle truck driver airlifted after rollover

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man, after the cattle truck he was driving rolled over, trapping him in the cabin.

The rescue chopper was called to the scene, in the Goondiwindi region, just before 10am.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) personnel and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were already on scene, working to free the man from the truck, when the helicopter landed.

Once the driver was released from the cabin, he was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital, under the care of the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and the QAS Critical Care Flight Paramedic.

The man, aged in his 40s, was in a stable condition.
