Rider airlifted after dirt bike and 4WD collide

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper has flown a motorcyclist to hospital, after a collision with a 4WD, west of Beerwah.

The aeromedical crew was called into action just after 4.30pm (Monday 12 October) and flew to a clearing, near the accident scene.

The patient was transported to the aircraft by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, who had initially treated him at the scene.

The rider was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

He suffered leg and arm injuries.
