Driver airlifted after being thrown from rolling vehicle

The Toowoomba RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man to hospital, after he was involved in a single vehicle rollover, earlier this morning (Sunday 7th March).

The rescue helicopter was called to the Goondiwindi region shortly before 10:15am.

It’s believed the patient, aged in his 20s, had been driving on a dirt road, when he lost control of his 4WD.

The vehicle reportedly rolled several times, causing him to be ejected.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics attended the scene and treated him for numerous injuries.

A QAS road crew transported the patient to Goondiwindi Hospital, to rendezvous with the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew.

The man was flown to Toowoomba Hospital, in a stable condition
