Tourist airlifted after single vehicle rollover

It’s believed there were five people in the car, travelling through a national park, when the driver lost control of the SUV and rolled, ejecting a female passenger.

The local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) attended the scene and transported the woman, in her mid-twenties, to the local hospital helipad, where the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was waiting.

The aeromedical crew assessed her, before airlifting her to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

She had suffered suspected head and pelvic injuries.
