Elderly man treated for knife wound

An elderly man has been airlifted to hospital by RACQ CareFlight Rescue with an accidental knife wound to the leg.

The patient was in the family kitchen at Nanango when it’s believed the knife he was using slipped, penetrating his upper leg.

He was discovered by his wife after collaspsing.

The Sunshine Coast RACQ CareFlight Rescue crew flew the patient from Nanango Hospital to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
