Man airlifted with critical injuries after highway crash

A man in his fifities has been airlifted to hospital with critical head injuries after a single vehicle crash on the Bruxner Highway in New South Wales this morning.

The Gold Coast RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to an oval at the nearby township of Tabulam, 55 kilometres west of Casino, just before 10am.

There the intensive care air medical crew was met by New South Wales Ambulance team who transferred the patient from the crash site.

He received further treatment on site before the RACQ CareFlight Rescue crew airlifted the patient to the Gold Coast Hospital in a critical condition.
