Woman airlifted by RACQ CareFlight Rescue after fall from horse

A rider in her twenties has been airlifted by the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter with a suspected concussion after a fall from a horse.

It’s believed the woman was riding with a friend in the Dalby region when she was thrown from the animal.

The patient was initially treated in the Dalby Hospital before the local rescue helicopter was tasked, just before 2pm this afternoon, to airlift her to Toowoomba.

She was flown to Toowoomba Hospital and travelled in a stable condition.
