Woman airlifted after serious crash on Steve Irwin Way

The woman, in her thirties, was trapped in her van for more than one hour as Queensland Fire Emergency Service personnel worked to free her from the wreckage.
It is believed the food van collided with the back of the bus when the bus slowed to turn into a side road. No other occupants were injured.
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew, with the LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor on board, was sent to the scene at 7.30am and treated the woman for suspected abdominal, pelvic and leg injuries.
She was then airlifted by the crew to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The collision forced police to close the road at Kings Road through the Glass House Mountains until 11.30am.
