CareFlight’s Regional Fundraising Assistant Jeanette Newson said the not-for-profit service is on the hunt for dedicated volunteers to help out at its gift wrap station from Tuesday December 1 until Christmas Eve.
“It will be a fun and rewarding way to get into the Christmas spirit, while also helping your local helicopter rescue service raise vital funds.
“All donations will be put to good use over the notoriously busy Christmas holiday period, allowing our dedicated rescue crews to treat and airlift people across Queensland.”
As a registered charity, CareFlight relies on devoted volunteers to cut, fold and create beautifully wrapped presents for Sunshine Coast families.
“CareFlight is looking for as many volunteers as possible to cover each shift, so we’d love to hear from anyone who is passionate about giving back to the community,” she said.
Shoppers are able to have their gifts wrapped for a gold coin donation to CareFlight’s lifesaving service.
