Two RACQ LifeFlight Rescue choppers sent to crash scene

Both the Bundaberg and Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopters were tasked to the serious two-car collision.
The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue team airlifted an elderly woman who had suffered upper limb and chest injuries. She remains in a critical condition. 
The Bundaberg RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew airlifted her young granddaughter who also suffered upper limb injuries. She is currently in a stable condition.
Both patients have been flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment. 
The 2017-2018 financial year was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,452 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
