The men, aged in their late 30s, sustained multiple injuries in the crash.
RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifted both patients to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Earlier today, the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter also airlifted a man, aged in his mid-20s, following a motor vehicle accident in the Sunshine Coast region.
He was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
The 2017-2018 financial year was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,452 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
