Once on scene, the CareFlight medical team assisted the Queensland Ambulance Service in treating three patients; two females and one male suffering a combination of injuries.
A husband and wife had been travelling in one of the vehicles involved in the accident.
The female suffered head, spinal and abdominal injuries as a result of the accident.
Whilst the male suffered chest injuries.
Both were flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane for further specialised treatment.
The woman was flown in a critical condition, and the man travelled in a stable condition.
The third patient was transported via road to Warwick Hospital by the Queensland Ambulance Service.
