RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the scene of a crash involving a dump truck and a diesel tanker at Kogan, east of Chinchilla.
The vehicles crashed shortly before 9.30am, bringing down nearby power lines. A small diesel spill forced emergency services to close the road to motorists.
The Toowoomba-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter flew to the scene to assist the 57 year old driver of the dump truck who had been trapped in the wreckage.
He was treated by the helicopter’s medical team for multi-trauma injuries and airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He travelled in a critical but stable condition.
The driver of the diesel tanker was taken to Dalby Hospital by road ambulance.
