Truck driver airlifted after highway crash

It’s believed the man, aged in his 30s, had been travelling along the Gore highway, when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics treated him for leg, chest and back injuries and transferred him to a local medical facility before the chopper arrived.

He was flown to Toowoomba Hospital, in a stable condition, under the care of RACQ LifeFlight Rescue’s Critical Care Doctor and flight paramedic.

2018 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,724 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
