The large limb of the tree broke off and fell around nine metres onto the mans shoulder.
The Toowoomba-based helicopter landed at the scene at around 11am to treat and transport the injured man to Toowoomba Base Hospital for further treatment.
RACQ CareFlight Rescue Aircrewman, Mark Arthur, said the man was incredibly lucky to have escaped serious injury.
It definitely could have been a lot worse, he said.
The patient travelled in a stable condition.
