It is believed that up to eight international tourists were injured as a result of the accident.
An English tourist in her early 20s suffered head and facial injuries after the four-wheel drive vehicle she was travelling in rolled twice before righting itself.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics treated the woman at the scene, before she was airlifted to Hervey Bay Hospital in a serious but stable condition in the care of the CareFlight medical team.
Two other women in their early 20s, both suffering minor injuries, were also airlifted.
All other occupants of the vehicle were assessed on site, before being cleared of serious injury.
The cause of the accident is unknown.
