Three Fraser Island missions for RACQ LifeFlight Rescue

Today, the helicopter was sent to the island to airlift a man, in his thirties, suffering a medical condition.

As the crew landed at Hervey Bay Hospital to hand over the patient, they were called to a second patient back on Fraser Island.

They returned and airlifted another man. He was suffering a cardiac condition and was also flown to Hervey Bay Hospital.

On Saturday morning, the Bundaberg aeromedical team responded to reports of a trail bike rider, who had injured his foot while riding on a Fraser Island track. After being accessed by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue paramedic, it was decided the patient didn’t require hospital treatment.

RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopters have flown 17 missions this weekend in Queensland.
