Third motorbike rider airlifted by RACQ LifeFlight Rescue

The young man, aged in his late teens, was reportedly riding on a beach on the eastern side of the island, when he came off his motorbike at 9am.

The rescue helicopter landed at Eurong and the patient was airlifted to hospital in a stable condition, suffering shoulder injuries.

He is the third injured motorcycle rider to be airlifted by RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crews in the past 24 hours.

Yesterday evening, the Bundaberg-based chopper flew two male riders to hospital, following a head-on collision between dirt bikes, on a private property south-west of Maryborough.
