Teenage girl airlifted after motorbike accident

The girl, aged in her mid-teens, was riding on the property, located between Warwick and Boonah, when she lost control and came off the motorbike.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was dispatched from the Clive Berghofer CareFlight Centre in Toowoomba shortly before 4pm.

Toowoomba’s medical crew, including a Critical Care Doctor and Flight Intensive Care Paramedic, assessed and treated the girl’s injuries before she was flown to the Mater Children’s Hospital.

Her condition is not known.

South West Queensland is one of the busiest regions for RACQ CareFlight Rescue.

In the 2012/13 financial year, 43 per cent of all missions were flown in the region.
