Teen airlifted after horse fall

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of a teenager who fell off a horse near Gympie.

The 18 year old was riding the horse along a road in Mooloo, in Gympie’s southwest, when she fell off shortly before 7.30am, causing an injury to her leg.

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter landed at the scene where its flight doctor and intensive care flight paramedic treated the girl.

She was airlifted to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
