The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked at approximately 7.15pm and airlifted the woman from Tara Hospital to the Tooowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
Last calendar year RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crews treated 11 patients who were believed to have suffered a suspected snake bite.
As part of a double passenger airlift, the woman was accompanied by a 23 year old female who was suffering from a suspected medical condition. The second woman also travelled in a stable condition.
The capacity of all RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopters to conduct double airlifts can save valuable time and money and ensure patients reach higher levels of care more quickly.
