Second skydiver airlifted in two days

This is the second skydiving accident in Queensland’s South West in just two days.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene from the Clive Berghofer CareFlight Centre in Toowoomba around 10.30am.

CareFlight’s Critical Care Doctor and QAS flight paramedic treated and stabilised the man before airlifting him to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

He travelled in a stable condition.

Yesterday morning the Surat Basin Gas Industry Aeromedical Service airlifted a 25-year-old skydiver with suspected neck injuries after a hard landing in Westmar, 250 kilometres west of Toowoomba.

The man was flown to Roma Base Hospital in a stable condition.
