RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helps man suffering serious crush injuries

It’s understood the man had been working on a property at Verrierdale when his right leg became trapped by the machinery. 

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to assist at the scene of the accident shortly after 11.30am. 

The injured man was extricated by Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and the Queensland Ambulance Service. 

He was then treated at the scene and airlifted on board the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital; he travelled in a stable condition.
