RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts man after farm machinery accident

The rescue crew was called to the scene, in the Lockyer Valley, at 8 o’clock.

The operation to free the man from the harvesting equipment was well underway when the chopper landed, with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel and Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers already on scene.

The emergency service crews managed to free the man, soon after the aeromedical crew arrived.

The LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and Flight Paramedic then treated the patient, aged in his fifties, for lower limb injuries.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper flew him to Toowoomba Hospital, in a stable condition.
