RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts crash victim

Toowoomba’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the Western Downs region, just before 5pm.

It’s believed the car in which the woman was travelling, collided with a tree.

She suffered serious injuries to her legs, pelvis, abdomen and arms.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics initially treated the patient, aged in her 30s, and transported her to Dalby Hospital, to meet the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter.

She was then flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition, under the care of LifeFlight’s Critical Care doctor and flight paramedic.

2018 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,724 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.

LifeFlight is a community-based charity funded and supported by the LifeFlight Foundation
