Paraglider airlifted after Sunshine Coast heavy landing

The RACQ LifeFlight pilot managed to find a clearing and land the helicopter close to where the paraglider was located.
The RACQ LifeFlight Intensive Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Paramedic treated him at the scene, about 100 metres downhill from where he had originally taken off.
They treated the man, aged in his mid-thirties for lower leg and back injuries.
He was stabilised and airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The 2017-2018 financial year was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,452 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
