Paediatric and Newborn Transport
Our smallest and most precious patients are flown to specialist care under the watchful eye of a neonatal or paediatric team.
During neonatal and paediatric missions, sick or premature newborns, infants and children are flown from smaller hospitals to a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or specialised facility at a major tertiary hospital, such as the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital or Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.
Our helicopters are primed with specialised medical equipment including humidicribs that supports tiny babies and children, giving them individual lifesaving care.
Having a sick or injured child can be extremely distressing and many Queensland families are faced with this every day. Our medical teams are highly experienced at providing compassion and care to our youngest patients and their families.
