RACQ LifeFlight kept busy over the weekend
RACQ LifeFlight aeromedical crews have had a busier-than-usual weekend, saving lives with a total of 17 missions from its four South East Queensland bases.
Late on Friday afternoon the Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to another motor vehicle accident on the New England Highway 35 km south of Toowoomba near the town of Nobby.
The Rescue helicopter landed at the scene of the accident where emergency services were attempting to free the driver who was trapped in the overturned vehicle.
The rescue helicopter's aeromedical crew treated the patient for head and neck injuries. He was transported to Toowoomba Hospital where the patient was handed over in a stable condition.
