Woman winched from Noosa National Park
A woman, aged in her twenties, has been winched to safety after she was hit by a wave and washed up onto rocks, while swimming in a natural pool.
She was treated at the scene, by paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) and local lifeguards.
The difficult terrain made it too dangerous for the patient to be carried out.
The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to Noosa National Park shortly after 5pm (Monday), where the aeromedical crew performed a winch rescue.
The woman was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, with upper body injuries, in a stable condition.
