RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts injured motocross rider after crash
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper has airlifted a motocross rider to hospital, after he was injured in a crash, this morning.
The aeromedical crew was sent to the Sunshine Coast hinterland, around 11:15am.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were already at the scene, when the chopper landed in a nearby clearing.
The LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and the QAS Flight Paramedic helped stabilise the man, aged in his 40s.
He was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition, with lower leg injuries.
