Man injured after crashing quad bike into barbed wire fence

A man, aged in his seventies, is recovering in hospital after he crashed his quad bike into a barbed wire fence earlier today.

The Toowoomba RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was sent to a private property, south west of Gatton, shortly after 2pm. 

The aeromedical team worked alongside paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to stabilise the man for his flight. 

He suffered severe neck lacerations and was transported to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
