Man airlifted after being crushed in farm machinery accident

A man who was injured in a farming accident on a property north of Childers, has been airlifted to hospital by an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter.

It's believed the man, aged in his 30s, was crushed between a tractor and a trailer.

The Sunshine Coast-based chopper was called into action just after 10 o'clock this morning.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics initially treated the patient, before the LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic arrived.

The rescue helicopter airlifted him in a stable condition, with chest injuries.

He was flown to the Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue base, then transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital by QAS.
