Car crash leaves man seriously injured
The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man aged in his forties from Toowoomba Hospital, after he was involved in a horrific car accident overnight.
The accident occurred north west of Toowoomba, Friday evening, when two vehicles collided head on.
The male patient suffered multiple fractures and was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
2018 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,724 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
