Young woman airlifted after car accident
A woman in her 20s has been airlifted by the Mount Isa RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter after she was involved a single motor vehicle accident around 100 kilometres out of Mount Isa.
It's believed that the woman was distracted when she lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road around 8am this morning.
The woman was airlifted to hospital with multiple injuries in stable condition.
2016-17 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,342 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
