Two airlifted in separate accidents

The Sunshine Coast - based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted a tree lopper after he suffered serious injuries following an incident involving a tree. 

The Bundaberg and Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopters both attended the scene near Maryborough due to the patients condition. 

The man was treated at the scene by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics and the LifeFlight critical care doctor and paramedic. 

The patient was transported in a serious condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women's hospital. 

Earlier today the Sunshine Coast - based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted an elderly man after he suffered a medical condition. 

It's believed the man fell at a property in the Somerset region. 

The man was treated at the scene by the aeromedical crew before being flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital. 

The patient was transported in a serious but stable condition. 

RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifted 109 patients who were injured as a result of a fall in 2017.
