Two RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopters have attended a serious motor-vehicle accident on the Burnett Highway, approximately 40 kilometers north of Murgon.

Both the Toowoomba and Bundaberg RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopters were called to the serious high-speed collision just after 10.50am this morning.

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted a 12-year-old boy with serious injuries to a Brisbane hospital in a critical condition.

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted the driver of the second vehicle - a woman in her early 20s - with minor injuries to Bundaberg Hospital for treatment.
