Snorkeller airlifted by RACQ LifeFlight chopper

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a sick tourist, from the Southern Great Barrier Reef.

The woman was snorkelling with a group of people from a boat, moored near Lady Musgrave Island, when she became ill.

The tourist boat took her to the island, where the helicopter landed on the beach to meet them.

She was in a serious but stable condition when she was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital.
