RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts two horse-riding accident victims
Two patients have been airlifted by the Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter team just hours apart, following two separate horse-riding incidents.
The first patient was being treated at a Western Downs hospital, but needed further medical attention so the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called in around 1.30pm this afternoon (Weds 5th) to transport him to Toowoomba Hospital.
The man, in his late twenties, had suffered chest and spinal injuries. He was airlifted in a stable condition.
Four hours after the first call, the Toowoomba RACQ LifeFlight Rescue team was sent to assist a second horse-riding accident victim.
A woman in her early twenties was being treated at a different Western Downs Hospital, but her abdominal injuries required further medical attention.
She was also airlifted in a stable condition to the Toowoomba Hospital.
