RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts accident victim

The Bundaberg RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has just returned to base, after airlifting a woman injured in a serious highway accident north of Bioela overnight.

The single vehicle accident was reported to emergency services just before midnight.

The woman was treated at the accident scene by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) officers, then taken by road to the Bioela Hospital, where she was transferred into the care of the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue aeromedical crew.

She was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital.
